I like the features this app provides it's an great way multi-task between documents and files.
It doesn't play videos in the PowerPoint viewer. How hard is it to just play my slides with the videos in them?
Started not opening documents, causing tab hangs, and crashing my chromebook. Chromebook started having lag spikes this afternoon, and this extension was using up 2GB of RAM at peak despite not having anything open. Turns out it's not even needed anymore! Drive can handle docx files without the extension now.
I preffer use Docs, this extension is not enough
Fewer features that the Google Docs web version where you can edit DOCX files like they were Google Docs, with suggestions, viewing live-edits, etc. Uninstalling. Should be discontinued.
doesnt support in right to left languages...
Good~~!
I actually used this software when it was called Quick Office on Android. As a Chrome extension it does everything I need for quick editing of MS Word documents on my Chromebook or even on my PC when I don't feel like spinning up Word. I hope Google keeps it around for ever !
Please support Drag to Fill function in Excel, it is very useful.
Somehow the extension got turned off in the Chrome browser. I went to the Extensions tab in the Chrome settings and turned the "Google Docs Offline" extension back on. What a waste of my time trying to figure out what had happened.
A really useful extension! I've been constantly annoyed by doc, ppt and docx files needing to be opened outside of the browser and having to wait for Microsoft office to work, with this extension I can click on a link and immediately view the file without downloading. However sometimes I do require downloading the files and this extension has no easy way of letting me do that. I would have to open a guest tab and download from there, which doesn't work when downloading from sites requiring a login to access. (such as college blackboard) If this oversight can be fixed, and maybe some improvements in the viewer UI, this extension would be incredible! -3/5 stars Edit: right click download link and click "save link as..." works if you want to download the file instead of opening in viewer, This solves my first problem. ? -5/5 stars
